Seriously?! -______- What should we do?

The day of the reaping was always a solemn one for all of the districts. The inhabitants of district five sulked around town. The air was still and silent. The silence was only broken by a girl screeching loudly. Cole Mars and his friends had shocked the girl with an electricity rod causing her to shiver and making all of her hand stand on end. “Jerks!” she yelled at their backs as they ran away cracking up.
Even though there was only 10 minutes until the reaping, Cole and his friends were having fun until the very last moment. That’s just the kind of guy Cole was. He broke all the rules, he had all the fun and he lived like he was dying. Cole didn’t fear anything or anyone, though. To him, the reaping was just another day.
Looking at his watch, he decided it was about time he went to the square. “Come on, guys” he said. His friends immediately followed him. They always did what he wanted them to do immediately. Cole was naturally a leader and his leadership skills only intensified when his father had left their family. Suddenly, Cole had to take care of his mom, his four younger brothers and his two younger sisters. Luckily, they were a calm and collected family all helping out but Cole was the new disciplinarian. Since Cole was in charge, he had no one to answer to. That explained his devil may care attitude and his constant hanging out.
He took his spot with the rest of the 17 year old’s in his district. His best friend, Aaron stood next to him smiling. “Who do you want to get picked?” Aaron asked. Cole shrugged “I hope its an actual contender for once. We could all use some extra food around here” he said. Aaron nodded in agreement but quieted as Lucia Starven, District 5’s escort mounted the stage. She had an unkind face and dressed eccentrically. “Good Morning, District 5…” she started. Cole looked around. All of the faces surrounding him were grave. He found his mother standing in the crowd of adults looking nervous. He caught her eye and grinned. She grinned back weakly so Cole turned back to the stage. He understood his mothers fear. With he and all his siblings entered in The Reaping so many times, she had to think there was a huge chance. Cole didn’t think so. The odds tended to favor him.
He noticed Lucia’s hand reaching into the bowl and turned forward with a smirk. “Who would it be this time” he wondered. She pulled a slip of paper out of the bowl, opened it and in a clear deep voice she said, “And, the male tribute from district five is… Coleman Mars!”. Cole felt stomach drop. His grin stayed glued to his face and he didn’t seem able to shake it.
He heard a sharp intake of break from the general crowd as he walked to the stage zombie like. No one could believe that one of their districts best was going to The Games. He could hear multiple females crying. His sisters, mother among the other his classmates who’d fallen under Cole’s bad boy charm all cried.
Cole stood their numb for the rest of the ceremony. This could not possibly be happening to him. This had to be a nightmare.
When ever I’m in a bad mood, I just go kick the crap out of some loser. That usually causes me to feel pretty great.
